American Staffordshire Terrier - Zoey - Large - Adult - Female
I am a two year old American StaffordshireTerrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. How do I know? My foster mom (FM) sent away for a Wisdom Panel. That panel should also tell everyone what a wonderful dog I am, but since it doesn't, I will let you in on my stats. I am sweet, smart, and sometimes goofy. Oh, ok, a lot goofy. I don't know why, but FM is always laughing at me. She says she's laughing "with" me, but if I'm not laughing... : -/ FM also calls me her little tomboy because I like to play ball and don't mind going outside in all kinds of weather. So what if my fur gets wet and my paws get covered in dirt? For the tomboy I seem to be, I never smell, but I sit still for my bath when it's time. I also "sit" on command, can get "down", give "paw" AND "other paw", "drop it" like it's hot, and "leave it", which comes in handy a lot when I'm out walking (which kind of stinks because I like to pick up things as I walk and I'm always being told to "leave it"). Anyway, I would really love a home to call my home, preferably one with a fenced in yard so I can run. Just no kitties or small dogs. They're too tempting and I will chase them. Our goal is to find the best fit for all because adopting a dog is a life long commitment. To this end, we carefully screen all applicants, conduct home visits and meet & greets to ensure that all members of the family get along harmoniously. All dogs are micro chipped, spayed/neutered and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines prior to placement. Here's the lowdown: 1. Start by completing the online adoption application below. 2. Once the adoption application is approved, a volunteer will call or email to schedule a meet and greet and home visit. All members of the household should be present for both. 3. If approved to adopt, pay the adoption fee prior to or on day of permanent placement and agree to sign the Adoption Contract. Adoption Fees: Adults $200 Puppies $250 These fees help to recover some of the costs for vetting, food and supplies, and go right back into the pool to save additional dogs in need. A few things to keep in mind prior to completing our application: *We prefer applicants who are at least 21 years or older and will take special precautions in approving those in the range of 21 - 25 years. This is a period of time where many are in a state of flux.
